Not Guilty on ALL Counts
06.13.05 (3:22 pm)   [edit]
The jury just handed out an unambigous comprehensive defeat to the prosecution in the Michael Jackson molestation trial. People outside the courthouse are dancing. I, like many of my friends, didn't follow the trial too closely but still kept an ear open.

Well, hopefully after all of this Michael Jackson will realize how weird it is to invite little boys to sleep in bed with you when you're a grown man who hasn't been able to sustain a decent relationship with a woman. Even if he isn't a pedophile, it's just plain stupid.

I hope this is the last of this messy business.

There's no way I can believe he's not guilty. But after OJ, I knew they wouldn't convict him. If you have little boys in your bed to drink milk and "tell stories" on Neverland Ranch, don't you think there's something...not RIGHT, about that? *siiiigh*

As in the OJ trial, the prosecution did not deliver a convincing case. There were too many lies, retractions and the prosecution witnesses all had axes to grind. I'm not surprised. Too much reasonable doubt. You and I both know there's something seriously wrong with Michael but the burden of proof in the courts is fortunately higher. I say fortunately because I don't trust my own judgement given my own personal prejudices and lack of knowledge of the case.

basically, if i had little boys in my bed i would have been in jail in like 27 seconds. wat a load.

oh I'm sure we'll see him back in court again. This isn't over. I'm pretty sure of it. I think there is some truth behind the allegations.

Kitty's right, "reasonable doubt", "burden of proof"... I think some witnesses got paid off. That's the only explination for such a shoddy prosecution. The jury did its job. "Not guilty" was the only verdict they were left with.

I did the moonwalk when I heard about it.
