posted by: aesav23 (reply) post date: 04.17.06 (11:13 am) Interesting... I might put Fifth Element in my top 5 as well. It's certainly in the top 10. I think they are ... 1 Spaceballs 2 Galaxy Quest 3 LOTR (the entire thing) 4 Harry Potter 5 Seven Brides for Seven Brothers You understand, this list could change instantaneously when I think of something else. :o) ~ae posted by: PastorDave (reply) post date: 04.17.06 (5:57 pm) Fifth Element? I think I saw that Sunday night- it stars Bruce Willis? I wonder aloud how anything starring Bruce Willis could be in a top five list. I've been thinking about doing some posts on classic movies, like Citizen Kane and High Noon and Frankenstein. Oops, I just saw the post by the last guy, who placed Spaceballs as tops. Here's some of my favorites, though not necessarily in order: Rocky (the first) Star Wars (the first) Raiders Of The Lost Ark Bridge Over The River Kwaii It's A Wonderful Life posted by: dustyjumpwings (reply) post date: 04.18.06 (1:06 am) 1) Jurassic Park (all 3) 2) Pirates of the Caribbean 3) Back to the Future (all 3) 4) Indiana Jones (all 3) 5) Saving Private Ryan Also, Twister, Terminator 2, Forrest Gump, The Blues Brothers and Monty Python's Holy Grail should be noted! :-D posted by: dangerkitty (reply) post date: 04.18.06 (5:54 am) Reply to: aesav23 Spaceballs .... hehehehe. Love that movie. Seven Brides for Seven (redheaded) Brothers ... classic stuff. I am a little surprised about Harry Potter though. posted by: dangerkitty (reply) post date: 04.18.06 (5:58 am) Reply to: PastorDave "I wonder aloud how anything starring Bruce Willis could be in a top five list." To be honest, not many. He's starred in many bad films but once in a while he gets lucky and is in a few good ones like Pulp Fiction. I like most of Quintin Tarantino's films but they are just too violent to make it into my top 5 list. Bridge Over the River Kwai has got to me my favourite World War II film, and believe me, I've seen a lot. Thanks for commenting. posted by: dangerkitty (reply) post date: 04.18.06 (6:02 am) Reply to: dustyjumpwings Really, all three Back to the Futures? That last one really didn't do anything for me. Plus Temple of Doom was kinda meh. Still, gotta agree with the rest. I knew Jurassic Park would be on top! :o) posted by: dustyjumpwings (reply) post date: 04.20.06 (11:12 am) Reply to: dangerkitty I guess I can agree with Temple of Doom, but it's still Indiana Jones and I did like parts of it! BTTF3 is my favorite (at the time I'm watching it, but then I'll see 1 or 2 and say that they're my favorite one. So basically all three are my favorite). I love the Old West, Buford "Maddog" Tannen was EMU, and ZZ Top was in it. Plus I love the trains and horses and duels and general "western-ness". Oh and, the 3rd one focuses mostly on Doc Brown *wink wink*, although I don't like Clara. Nothing personal, I don't dislike HER, I'm just jealous...! |
